Manta is the 44th project on Binance Launchpool, serving as a gateway for Zero Knowledge-based applications through a modular blockchain and zkEVM. It aims to create a new paradigm for Layer 2 smart contract networks, offering developers higher transaction speeds and lower fees compared to Layer 1 networks.
The Manta network is designed to continuously improve user experience through a modular infrastructure that integrates Data Availability (DA) and zkEVM seamlessly. Its mission is to foster the adoption of Web3 by providing a scalable infrastructure environment for various use cases.
Manta’s protocol consists of four main components: modular data availability, unsupervised smart contracts, universal circuits, and zkEVM proofs. Modular data availability processes call data from each transaction through Celestia, significantly reducing the cost of transactions processed in Manta Pacific. Unsupervised smart contracts allow projects on Manta Pacific to deploy Solidity-based smart contracts compatible with the EVM environment.
Developers can utilize Manta Pacific’s universal circuits to create ZK-enabled applications for a range of use cases, including DeFi and GameFi. zkEVM proofs ensure cryptographic-level security by verifying transactions once aggregated.
MANTA coin is the native asset of the Manta Network, serving various purposes including governance, staking, and network fees. MANTA holders can participate in network governance decisions and contribute to the overall security of Manta Atlantic through staking. As of January 16, 2024, the total supply of MANTA is 1 billion, with 251 million in circulation post-Binance listing. MANTA can be securely traded on Binance from January 18, 2024, with multiple trading pairs available.
