Bitcoin‘s future prospects shine brightly as new investment strategies gaining traction promise to counter currency devaluation. Bernstein predicts that Bitcoin could ascend to unprecedented heights, potentially reaching around $150,000 by mid-2027 and a remarkable $300,000 by 2029 during the current market cycle.
Signs of Rebound in the Market?
Recent on-chain data reveal a shift as August witnesses a reversal in capital dynamics. According to Axel Adler Jr. from CryptoQuant, the prolonged outflow of funds from the Bitcoin market, persisting for roughly three months, has concluded. Yet, these metrics are not comprehensive indicators of a robust, enduring demand cycle.
Adler’s data illustrates that on August 24, the ratio of the realized market value’s net position change turned positive at +0.10% for the first time since May 28, later climbing to +0.21% by August 26.
This shift signals the end of a nearly three-month phase of net capital outflow. For six consecutive days, Bitcoin’s 30-day visible demand/new supply ratio has stayed above 1.
Currently, this ratio stands at 2.52, indicating that the visible Bitcoin demand over the past 30 days exceeds the new BTC entering the market by approximately 2.5 times.
Although this shift is encouraging, historic comparisons show current levels are still low. Since 2024, the median during positive market value periods was +3.24%, while today’s +0.21% is among the lowest 3-4%. Visible demand historically has a median of 7.65 when above 1, but the current figure of 2.52 is among the lowest 10%.
Adler emphasizes that the transition from net outflow to a slight net inflow and the demand surpassing new supply are pivotal developments. Still, declaring the start of a strong new demand cycle is premature.
- Bitcoin’s realized market value has shown signs of recovery, hitting positive numbers.
- Despite optimistic trends, historical data highlights that these advances remain modest compared to past performance.
- Future observations are crucial to confirming whether these preliminary signals transition into sustained strengthening.
Bernstein remains optimistic about Bitcoin’s long-term potential, asserting that as protective financial maneuvers against currency depreciation gain traction, Bitcoin might reach a pivotal high of $150,000 by mid-2027. They foresee an eventual peak near $300,000 by 2029 in this market cycle.
