Binance announced a strategic move to place four crypto assets under close watch by applying its Monitoring Tag. This decision reflects the exchange’s proactive approach towards maintaining its listing standards. The application for AVA, GNS, SCR, and TOWNS will commence on September 4, 2026. Through Monitoring Tag, Binance consistently reviews the compliance of these assets with its listing criteria, and they could be at risk of being removed from the platform.

Which Tokens Are Under Closer Scrutiny?

The Monitoring Tag has been newly assigned to AVA, GNS, SCR, and TOWNS. According to Binance, assets with this tag may carry higher volatility and risk compared to other listed tokens. This label will be visibly reflected on Binance Spot, Binance Margin, and market overview pages, alerting users about the potential risks involved.

Binance is set to implement the Monitoring Tag for AVA, GNS, SCR, and TOWNS on September 4, 2026, subjecting these assets to regular scrutiny.

Though the introduction of the Monitoring Tag highlights concerns, Binance stresses the tag is not permanent. The exchange will reassess these tokens periodically, deciding on whether to retain or remove the tag. While scrutiny increases, there is no foreseen impact on other services linked with these tokens at present.

In a regional advisory, Binance informed users in the United Kingdom that access to some tokens might be restricted due to regional limitations, indicating that not every asset is available universally.

Why Are Tokens Being Removed from Binance Alpha?

Additionally, Binance will conduct a broader update of its listings on its Alpha platform. Fourteen tokens, after failing to meet Alpha standards, will be removed from the featured assets list on September 4, 2026, at 08:30 UTC. This move signifies a tightening of standards for the showcase of early-stage or noteworthy digital assets.

Binance announced the exclusion of 14 tokens from the Alpha featured assets list at 08:30 UTC on September 4, 2026.

Tokens such as MTP, BDXN, TALE, BOS, MAIGA, and SAROS are among those to be delisted from Binance Alpha. Despite this removal, withdrawals and sales of these tokens continue unaffected, preserving users’ ability to transact freely.

  • The Monitoring Tag marks assets for further scrutiny but not immediate removal.
  • Fourteen tokens have been delisted from the Binance Alpha list due to compliance failures.
  • UK users might face restrictions on certain tokens due to regional policies.

These developments underscore Binance’s differentiated management tactics between its primary risk assessment process and the Alpha product review. The introduction of Monitoring Tags signals an intensified review process, while delisting from Alpha results in a clear exclusion from the enhanced visibility segment. Users are encouraged to note these changes as the exchange continues its routine evaluation practices.
