Cardano has achieved a notable technical milestone by generating its first golden cross signal in over 14 months on its daily chart. This crucial formation, where the 50-day moving average crosses above the 200-day moving average, coincides with a series of strategic advancements within its network.
Technical Indicators Show Renewed Strength
The golden cross phenomenon, last seen for Cardano in August 2025, marks a potential shift in market sentiment. Although previous instances on shorter timeframes have been recorded, this daily chart has been devoid of such an indicator for a significant period.
During the same month, Cardano’s price saw a surge, reaching $0.92. However, this bullish momentum was short-lived, with selling pressures intensifying in subsequent months. By November 2025, a death cross emerged on the daily chart, ushering a prolonged period of market weakness.
The daily chart’s 50-day average surpassing the 200-day average has unveiled the first golden cross signal for Cardano since August 2025.
Strategic Partnerships with Petrobras and Expansion in Japan
This technical signal comes at a time of crucial developments for Cardano. Petrobras has announced that it will utilize Cardano’s open blockchain infrastructure for verifying sustainability data in two new initiatives focused on aviation fuel and renewable diesel.
Known for its involvement in oil and gas, Brazilian energy giant Petrobras has opted for Cardano’s technology to bolster its sustainability efforts. Simultaneously, Cardano has entered into a partnership with Pacific Meta to expand its corporate presence in Japan, integrating its infrastructure with local market expertise and enterprise capabilities.
Cardano has been selected to validate sustainability data for two Petrobras ventures centered on aviation fuel and renewable diesel.
Network Activity and Software Enhancements Accelerate
Cardano’s network saw heightened activity on October 1, logging 43,181 transactions—the busiest day in a week. This underscores a noticeable uptick in on-chain utilization.
On the development front, the release of node version 11.1.3 was recently announced. This update corrects a behavior introduced in 11.1.2 regarding IPv4 decoding and reinstates the network’s sequential decoding method used before the 11.1.x series.
The full release of version 11.2 is anticipated within the next two to three weeks, featuring new block formats and the Plutus V4 context, yet omitting the Leios feature. The rollout of DijkstraNet, a public test network, is planned alongside version 11.2 to initiate widespread testing and integration within the ecosystem. The comprehensive feature set, including Leios in version 11.3, lacks a definitive release date.
