Michael Saylor, Chairman of Strategy’s Board of Directors, shared his bold outlook with Schwab Network, predicting that Bitcoin has entered a new bullish phase that could persist for the next four years. As Bitcoin traded around $83,700 amid favorable technical indicators, Saylor’s forecast sparked fresh discussions on cryptocurrency trends and market momentum.
Prospects of Bitcoin Reaching $100,000 Within a Year
Saylor expressed his belief that Bitcoin might surpass the $100,000 mark within the next 12 months, though he refrained from asserting a definite timeline for achieving this milestone before the end of 2026. For Bitcoin to reach this target, it would need to appreciate by approximately 19.4% from its current levels.
Michael Saylor said he believes a new Bitcoin bull run has commenced, potentially lasting up to four years.
Despite trading below its all-time high of approximately $126,198 from October 2025, achieving $100,000 would signify a substantial recovery without setting a new record. Saylor attributed recent market pressures to tight monetary policies, trade regulations, and artificial intelligence competition, yet maintained confidence in Bitcoin’s core investment thesis.
Technical Indicators Point to Optimism, Short-term Caution
TradingView’s analysis for BTCUSD indicated a positive technical outlook. While moving averages signaled strong buying conditions, oscillators hovered in a neutral zone. These factors suggest an underlying bullish trend with an uncertain short-term momentum.
Bitcoin maintained its position above the 10, 20, 50, and 200-period exponential moving averages, as the Relative Strength Index stood at 54 and the Average Directional Index was around 19. These metrics indicate the market is not oversaturated, with trend strength remaining modest.
In the short run, the $82,000 to $83,000 range functions as a crucial support zone, while the $84,700 to $89,000 band forms the primary resistance. Overcoming this resistance consistently is vital for strengthening the recovery.
Regulatory Landscape and Strategy’s Financial Health Under Scrutiny
Saylor also criticized the CLARITY Act, a U.S. legislative proposal on digital assets, for emphasizing restrictions over fostering innovation. He suggested that regulatory initiatives from the Securities and Exchange Commission, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and Treasury Department could lay a more constructive foundation.
Saylor asserted that a framework of rights, rather than restrictions, is essential for a robust economy.
Strategy’s financials play a critical role in Saylor’s optimism. The firm holds 848,517 BTC and approximately $5.2 billion in cash reserves. Once known as MicroStrategy, the U.S.-based software company is recognized for its significant Bitcoin holdings.
On October 28, shareholders will vote on scheduling dividend payments in some credit instruments on a daily basis. Saylor mentioned this structure aims to align better with digital markets, which remain open daily.
Saylor’s advocacy for Bitcoin’s potential to reach $100,000 reflects his long-standing perspective, grounded in its limited supply. However, whether this price point will be realized within a year remains contingent on factors such as monetary policy, institutional demand, regulatory developments, and market liquidity.
