This surge has been mirrored by Ethereum, which is now flirting with the $2,900 mark, a peak it hasn’t reached for a couple of years. Concurrently, a selection of alternative digital currencies, including XRP, Solana, and Cardano, have registered impressive gains, with Worldcoin attaining a new pinnacle in its valuation.
Surge in Major Cryptocurrency Values
Bitcoin’s value has soared past the $52,000 benchmark, marking a 1.07% rise to $52,118.02, despite a dip in trading volume by over 15%. Its market capitalization has successfully hit the trillion-dollar milestone. Ethereum has not been left behind, posting a 3.58% increase to reach $2,892.43, alongside a significant trading volume jump of 32.57%. Binance Coin, however, has seen little change in its price but experienced a slight fall in trading volume.
Solana’s price has taken a hit, dropping below $110, whereas XRP has made gains, climbing over the $0.56 level. Despite a decrease in trading volume, XRP’s price has edged up by 1.44%, trading at $0.5606. Conversely, Solana has seen an uptick in trading volume despite its price depreciation.
Mixed Fortunes for Cardano and Meme Coins
Despite the overall market recovery, Cardano’s price has slightly decreased by 0.50%, although its trading volume has seen a marginal increase. Dogecoin and Shiba Inu, representing the meme coin category, have both capitalized on the bullish market sentiment, with Dogecoin notably rising by 2.50%.
Pepe Coin, another player in the meme coin space, has also enjoyed a modest gain. Its market capitalization stands at $511.13 million, with a slight decrease in trading volume noted.
Worldcoin Sets New Record
Among the altcoins, Worldcoin has stood out by notching an all-time high, with its price reaching $6.87 amidst the day’s trading. The AI-focused cryptocurrency segment has been particularly buoyant in the recent period, with Worldcoin and others like GRT, NFP, AI, and XAI experiencing marked appreciation in value.
