Rabbit AI, an artificial intelligence company, has dismissed accusations made by YouTube investigator Stephen Findeisen, commonly known as Coffeezilla. On May 22, Coffeezilla alleged that Rabbit was involved in NFT fraud and had tried to cover it up. He pointed out the company’s transition from Cyber Manufacture Co. to Rabbit as a suspicious move.
What Did Coffeezilla Claim?
Findeisen also accused Rabbit AI’s CEO, Jesse Lyu, of failing to deliver on promises made to supporters of the Gama NFT project. Additionally, he criticized the new Rabbit R1 AI product, describing it as overhyped and a scam, similar to the NFT venture.
How Did Rabbit AI React?
In response, a Rabbit spokesperson clarified that Rabbit and the Gama project were distinct initiatives under the same company. They cited a 2023 technology media article confirming the rebranding from Cyber Manufacturing Co. Furthermore, the spokesperson noted that more than 80% of the current employees joined Rabbit after the rebranding in December 2023, and the Gama project had already ended by then.
User Feedback and Adaptations
The company spokesperson highlighted that Lyu has a strong entrepreneurial background and multiple project involvements, including Gama. They emphasized that the Gama project concluded before Rabbit commenced and defended against Coffeezilla’s allegations regarding transparency and focus on AI hardware. Rabbit AI also pointed out that they continuously receive user feedback for Rabbit R1, with 10,000 users generating over 600,000 interactions in the past month, leading to frequent updates and new features.
