The Rise of Cryptocurrencies in December: Bitcoin and Ethereum Reach Record Levels

Prices in the cryptocurrency market continue to move in line with the upward trend observed throughout the month of December. This positive atmosphere is enabling not only major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum, but also altcoins to reach record levels that have not been seen in over a year.

In the past 24 hours, the price of Bitcoin has increased by 2.65% to reach $41,779.01, while the trading volume has risen by 91.51% to $37.46 billion compared to the previous day. The highest and lowest levels of Bitcoin in the last 24 hours were recorded at $42,371.75 and $41,100, respectively.

The leader of altcoins, Ethereum, has gained a balanced momentum with a 0.40% increase from the previous day, trading at $2,230. The trading volume has increased by 69.74% in the past 24 hours, reaching $15.42 billion, and the cryptocurrency has reached as high as $2,273.07 in the last 24 hours.

XRP has experienced a decrease in price and dropped to $0.6155 with a loss of 1.59%. Another notable altcoin, SOL, has also declined by 3.21% to $59.66, but it has demonstrated a positive outlook with a 66.30% increase in trading volume, reaching $2.17 billion.

The leader of memecoins, Dogecoin, is currently valued at $0.08978 with a 3.2% loss in the past 24 hours. The trading volume has increased by 127.43% to $1.36 billion. The price of Shiba Inu, its closest follower, has increased by 0.20% to $0.000009051, and the trading volume has risen by 10.84% to $465.95 million compared to the previous day.
