CertiK Utilizes Alibaba Cloud for Blockchain

Blockchain security firm CertiK has transitioned its cloud operations in Asia to Alibaba Cloud. This strategic collaboration will see CertiK hosting its suite of 12 blockchain applications on Alibaba’s cloud platform, leveraging the cloud’s resources to enhance Web3 services provision.

What Drives CertiK’s New Directions?

CertiK’s objective is to create a secure environment for blockchain developers to build and deploy Web3 applications by using Alibaba’s robust cloud infrastructure. Ronghui Gu, CertiK’s co-founder, expressed confidence in blockchain technology’s potential, emphasizing their commitment to offering secure development and deployment opportunities via the Alibaba Cloud platform.

Previously, Alibaba Cloud had collaborated with the Avalanche blockchain to support its node initiatives. This integration allowed Avalanche developers to establish new validator nodes on Alibaba’s cloud, utilizing extra computing, storage, and distribution resources during high-demand periods.

Why Is AI Gaining Attention?

CertiK’s partnership with Alibaba Cloud, initiated in May 2023, brought CertiK’s security suite to Alibaba’s Blockchain as a Service (BaaS) platform. This collaboration enabled CertiK to perform code reviews, risk assessments, and team authentications using Alibaba’s infrastructure.

CertiK initially integrated smart contract and Layer-1 blockchain auditing services and plans to introduce penetration testing and the Skynet due diligence tool. Chinese investors and entrepreneurs are also heavily investing in artificial intelligence (AI), aiming to enhance technical proficiency for blockchain and Web3 applications.
