El Salvador-based Mi Primer Bitcoin (MPB) marked its third anniversary by elevating two key team members to leadership roles. The organization promoted long-serving educator Reyna Chicas to Education Director and advanced Quentin Ehrenmann to the position of General Manager.
Who Is the New Education Director?
Born in El Salvador, Chicas joined MPB nearly two years ago as a teacher and quickly progressed to Head Teacher and Board Member. Early in her tenure, she spent six months in Guatemala’s Bitcoin Lake community, providing essential training. Recently, she played a vital role in facilitating communication between MPB and the El Salvador Ministry of Education.
What Are Ehrenmann’s Contributions?
Ehrenmann began his journey with MPB in 2023 and swiftly rose to General Manager. His initial project involved establishing an education-focused circular economy on an underserved island off El Salvador’s eastern coast. He later engaged in educational initiatives within mountain communities and helped expand the Independent Educators Network to include teachers in 27 countries.
Key Achievements and Future Plans
The promotions highlight MPB’s commitment to expanding Bitcoin education:
- Chicas aims to inspire more people through education, leveraging her experience and dedication.
- Ehrenmann is focused on reaching the next 100,000 students through independent Bitcoin education.
- Both leaders have contributed to the growth of MPB’s global educator network.
Founded by John Dennehy, MPB strives to make Bitcoin education accessible to a wider audience. With Chicas and Ehrenmann in their new roles, the organization plans to enhance financial literacy and promote economic development in El Salvador and beyond.
