Cardano Founder’s Ongoing Dispute with XRP Community and Lack of Collaboration Prospects

It is known that Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, has been in disagreement with the XRP community for years. Over the past few years, the conflicts between the two sides have deepened, creating significant distrust within the cryptocurrency community known for its loyalty to X.

The ongoing conflict between Hoskinson and the XRP community reignited when a tweet about XRP that the Cardano founder posted about a year ago was brought back into the spotlight by users of the X platform.

Hoskinson had characterized the XRP community as “toxic and insignificant” and had completely ruled out any possibility of partnership between Cardano and XRP. Ripple‘s CTO David Schwartz had asked Hoskinson to reconsider his statement about XRP, but did not receive a response.

As can be understood from Hoskinson’s stance, a collaboration between Cardano and XRP does not seem very likely. The founder of Cardano, sticking to his past statements, reminded everyone of the technical disagreements between Cardano and XRP and the actions of the XRP community.

The founder of Cardano pointed out that, unlike other projects such as Ethereum, Polkadot, and Algorand that are experiencing similar issues and seeking solutions, XRP has a “different market product fit.” According to him, XRP is designed for a different purpose, functioning more as an interbank payment system and infrastructure for CBDCs rather than decentralized smart contract systems.
