With a portfolio that spans 250 projects across 25 countries, Binance Labs has achieved a notable 14-fold return on investments. Significant companies like Optimism, LayerZero, Celestia, Aptos, Mysten Labs, and Trust Wallet have benefited from Binance Labs’ strategic investments.
More than a venture capital arm, Binance Labs has incubated over 50 portfolio companies, including influential names such as Dune Analytics, Injective Labs, Polygon, and SafePal. Despite market downturns, Binance Labs demonstrated resilience and commitment to transformative solutions, emerging as the most active venture capital investor in the second and third quarters of 2023, even amidst a 36% downturn in crypto-focused venture capital funding.
Binance Labs’ 2023 investment strategy reflects its commitment to fundamental projects that promote sustainability and scalability within the ecosystem. Infrastructure investments include a $10 million investment in Neutron, a cross-chain smart contract platform on Cosmos, and participation in the MVB 6 Program to support AltLayer, a highly scalable execution layer for application-specific blockchains.
Binance Labs witnessed over 2,000 global startups apply to its biennial incubation programs in 2023. These programs provide one-on-one mentorship and access to Binance’s extensive resources. The incubation program is chain-agnostic, focusing on building Web3 startups for long-term growth, while the Most Valuable Builder (MVB) Accelerator Program supports founders making progress within the BNB Chain ecosystem, offering tailored Startup Track and Founder Track.
