The highly anticipated trading debut of Evernorth’s XRPN shares on Nasdaq, initially scheduled for this Thursday, has been postponed to October 12, 2026. Originally seen as one of the pioneering regulated, XRP-focused instruments, the company announced that trades would now commence the following Monday.
Technical Delays Lead to Schedule Shift
According to an official statement released on the project’s website late on October 7, the schedule alteration stemmed from technical and administrative delays. The management assured stakeholders that this postponement would not impact the final closure of the transaction.
The company’s management stated that the delay was due to technical and administrative reasons, and they do not anticipate any alterations in the transaction’s final completion process.
There is no fundamental obstacle impeding the process’s completion. A significant legal milestone was reached on September 30 when shareholders of Armada Acquisition Corp. II unanimously approved the merger, as reflected in the Form 8-K submitted to the SEC.
Transaction Set for Two-Phase Completion
Under the revised legal timeline, the process will proceed in two distinct steps. The legal closure with the SPAC entity is scheduled for October 9, Friday. The commencement of XRPN trading on Nasdaq will begin at the opening session on October 12, Monday. SPACs are known for facilitating the merger of a private firm with a publicly traded shell company.
With the launch of XRPN trading, Evernorth aims to establish itself as one of the largest publicly listed institutional treasury structures focused on the Ripple ecosystem. The company currently maintains approximately 473 million XRP in strategic reserves and plans to raise around $300 million in cash from the deal.
Institutional Interest to Be Evident on October 12
Including commitments from institutional investors such as Ripple, Pantera Capital, and Kraken, the total transaction size exceeds $1 billion. The goal is to offer regulated XRP access to stock investors without obligating them to handle digital asset custody and management.
The total institutional commitments exceeding $1 billion transform XRPN from merely a listing milestone into a pivotal test of institutional capital focused on XRP.
The four-day schedule shift did not lead to significant volatility on cryptocurrency exchanges. The morning dip in XRP was less than 2%, aligning with the market-wide limited corrections observed throughout the week in the cryptocurrency landscape.
Since Evernorth’s treasury reserves were established before the current developments, the delay has no technical impact on XRP spot liquidity. Genuine institutional demand for the new exchange instrument will become clearer after the New York session opens on October 12.
