The Solana network has experienced a striking surge in user growth over recent weeks. According to data shared by the on-chain analytics platform Santiment, the number of new addresses on Solana has jumped by 33% since September 1. During this same period, the price of SOL increased by 20%, illustrating a more robust user acquisition trend relative to its price movement.
New Address Data Highlights Solana’s Momentum
As Solana expands its use case within the cryptocurrency and decentralized finance ecosystems, the network has surpassed its competitors in the rate of new wallet creations. Santiment, a well-regarded analysis platform focusing on on-chain data and investor behaviors, reported that Solana is experiencing a more pronounced adoption momentum compared to Ethereum and Chainlink.
Santiment’s data reveals that the increase in new addresses on Solana since September 1 has eclipsed the growth seen in Ethereum and Chainlink.
This rise in new addresses suggests a significant influx of users into the Solana ecosystem over the past month. The simultaneous expansion of wallet activity alongside price increases indicates the network’s appeal isn’t solely driven by market dynamics.
Ethereum and Chainlink Lag in User Adoption
In contrast, Ethereum has not seen a similar spike in new addresses despite an 11% increase in its price. Data illustrates a largely stagnant trend in the influx of new Ethereum users.
For Chainlink, a more distinct disparity between price performance and network activity emerged. The LINK token rose from $11.22 on September 1 to $13.96 by October 6, marking a 24% increase. However, the number of new addresses on the Chainlink network grew by less than 2% during the same period.
Despite the rise in Chainlink’s price, there was no comparable growth in wallet activity.
Contrasting Growth Patterns Emerge Across Networks
When examining the three networks collectively, Solana demonstrates synchronous growth in both price and new address numbers. Meanwhile, Ethereum and Chainlink have not managed to achieve parallel user base expansion despite experiencing price escalations. This disparity underlines Solana’s stronger performance in network growth relative to its peers.
Particularly notable is the surpassing of price performance by new address growth in Solana, suggesting a broader and deeper interest from users over the past month. The divergence between network activity and market performance is being closely monitored by participants, highlighting investor attentiveness to these metrics.
