Ethereum markets have been closely monitored as substantial movements by large wallet holders, known as ‘whales,’ resurface. Blockchain analytics firm Arkham reports an important acquisition: a single wallet purchasing 8,773.5 ETH, valued approximately at $19.7 million. This acquisition was made at a price of $2,245 per ETH. Interestingly, the same wallet had previously amassed 10,376 ETH in June at an average value of $1,626.
Tracking Significant Wallet Activities
The total Ethereum holdings of the wallet in question have now reached 23,095 ETH, with an estimated value of about $51.69 million. Arkham, renowned for its ability to track and label wallet movements on the blockchain, confirms these significant transactions. The firm shows that this wallet’s activity is part of a larger pattern among top Ethereum holders.
Arkham data reveals a 19.7 million dollar Ethereum purchase, bringing the total holdings of a single wallet to 23,095 ETH.
Additionally, Arkham has identified the wallet 0x4AB7 with significant activity over the past week. This address withdrew 9,777 ETH from the Binance exchange, roughly valued at $22.5 million. Such withdrawal patterns suggest these assets are intended for short-term holding, but broader market data doesn’t entirely support this outlook.
Exchanges Signal Selling Pressures
Over the weekend, Ethereum recorded net inflows of $18.32 million across major exchanges. The influx of assets onto exchanges often hints at a rising sales probability in the short term, signaling potential market volatility. Hence, there is a contrasting signal between the whale purchases and the broader market flow dynamics.
Meanwhile, U.S.-traded spot Ethereum ETFs experienced outflows totaling $365 million in the past week, with $193.2 million of that occurring over the last two days alone. Despite the on-chain acquisitions, the evident decline in institutional demand continues to project a cautious market sentiment.

Crucial Price Levels Under Review
The most recent wave of sell-offs links back to a significant retreat on November 5th, where Ethereum lost about 10% of its value following a brief surge, thereby escalating market vulnerability.
Analyst Ali Martinez notes that Ethereum recently dipped below a critical threshold of $2,385. Should the selling pressure endure, Martinez suggests a potential price decline to $1,963.
Ethereum currently trades near $2,239, maintaining a lateral range close to its local low. In the short term, the $2,200 to $2,220 range serves as a critical support area. If Ethereum breaches $2,300, recovery towards the $2,400-$2,450 band tested earlier might be conceivable.
