Internet Computer Tops Crypto Development Rankings

Recent analytics from Santiment, a cryptocurrency data analysis company, indicate that Internet Computer (ICP), a blockchain project targeting cloud-based Web3 advancements, has surged to the forefront of development activities within the cryptocurrency sphere. Cardano (ADA) closely trails as the second most active project regarding developer contributions.

Outstanding Development Pace of Internet Computer

Santiment’s report highlights that Internet Computer has seen a remarkable 46.9 GitHub submissions over the past month, outpacing alternative cryptocurrency initiatives in the realm of development undertakings. Despite a marginal 2% dip in its market price, with its native token ICP valued at $13.45, the project showcases consistent advancements and innovative strides in its infrastructure.

Santiment’s evaluation approach emphasizes genuine GitHub commits to provide a transparent view of the active development efforts within these projects, discounting minor or routine updates to concentrate on substantive contributions.

Cardano and Other Altcoins Show Strong Presence

Cardano has secured the runner-up position with 434.3 GitHub entries, positioning itself as a formidable rival to Ethereum with its focus on scalability and eco-friendly practices. Tied for third are Polkadot (DOT) and its experimental network Kusama (KSM), with Optimism (OP), a layer-2 scaling solution for Ethereum, rounding out the top five in terms of development activity with its own significant contributions.

These figures underscore the importance of active development in signaling an altcoin’s potential and credibility, suggesting that such projects are less likely to be exit scams and have a dedicated developer base committed to their long-term evolution.
