What Enhance Network Protection?
FOCIL, as elucidated by Buterin, involves a system where 17 randomly chosen participants are engaged in each block slot, reinforcing security against censorship. This method ensures consistent inclusion of transactions within one or two subsequent slots, safeguarding the network from any disruption. With a base capacity of 8 kilobytes, expandable if necessary, FOCIL facilitates sponsored transactions and private transfers, streamlining network activities.
EIP-8141 complements this by extending the 7701 standard to integrate smart wallets and privacy-focused transactions directly into Ethereum’s main architecture. This integration ensures these wallets and transactions are treated on par with other network elements, resulting in a more intuitive user experience. In contrast to solutions like MCP, FOCIL in conjunction with external Proposer-Builder Separation (ePBS), distributes authority equitably across participants. Beyond this, the protocols afford considerable technical adaptability. Streamlined data handling bolsters network efficacy.
