Ankr has announced the launch of Rollup-as-a-Service (RaaS) support for zkSync Hyperchains, created in collaboration with Matter Labs. This service facilitates the easy creation of customizable, scalable, and secure Layer-2 independent networks for developers’ decentralized applications.

In June, Matter Labs gained attention by releasing ZK Stack to create Hyperchains and providing an open-source modular framework for building independent ZK-supported chains. With this step, Matter Labs aimed to create interconnected blockchain ecosystems using zero-knowledge proof technology.

Ankr clients can now create custom blockchain networks for specific use cases using RaaS support. However, significant progress needs to be made as the functionality of Hyperchains is currently limited to a testnet environment.

Kev Silk, Senior Product Manager at Ankr, stated that Hyperchains could be a powerful integration option for developers and highlighted Ankr’s seamless customization and distribution capabilities, as well as the scalability and security features of Hyperchains as important advancements for the Layer-2 space.

The new collaboration between Ankr and Matter Labs aims to provide developers with stronger and more customizable blockchain solutions, but overcoming the limitations of testnet restrictions is necessary for the widespread adoption of this technology.
