The initiative, which began earlier in 2023, utilizes Polygon’s zero-knowledge proofs through a Chain Development Kit, aiming to offer brands a more efficient and cost-effective system for creating digital passports and tokens linked to luxury items.
CEO’s Insight on Arianee’s Strategic Move
Pierre-Nicolas Hurstel, Arianee’s co-founder and CEO, emphasized the new network’s ability to deliver customizable, low-cost digital solutions that maintain high performance and reliability. Hurstel highlighted the challenges associated with operating on Layer-1 and the main Polygon network, pointing to the necessity for a predictable and manageable cost structure, especially for large-scale and high-performance applications.
Revolutionizing Digital Ownership for Luxury Goods
The novel Layer-2 solution will integrate Arianee’s native protocol token as the primary currency, bridged to the Aria20 ERC-20 token on the Ethereum mainnet. This advancement is set to streamline the process for brands to initiate and supervise their digital product passports and loyalty tokens. Presently, Arianee provides infrastructure to over 40 prominent brands, such as Breitling and Yves Saint Laurent, enabling them to offer proof of ownership and manage additional services via blockchain.
Digital product passports offer a range of benefits, including enhanced security and control over personal data for owners. They also facilitate interactions with manufacturers for services like repairs and insurance. Polygon’s CDK, utilized in Arianee’s solution, is designed to provide greater scalability and integration with existing ERC-721 token-based systems.
