Cardano’s Future: Partnerships, Gaming, and Cryptography Innovations

Sebastien Guillemot, co-founder of DcSpark and Paima Studios, recently hinted at potential collaborations among Arbitrum, Cardano, and MinaProtocol in 2024, emphasizing the strategic alliances these platforms may form, especially during market competitions against Ethereum.

The Cardano community is excited about upcoming projects, yet Guillemot noted that Cardano’s current infrastructure limits its ability to validate zero-knowledge proofs until the next hardfork. Meanwhile, Paima Studios is committed to elevating decentralized games to compete with web2, with the Paima Engine being developed for blockchain gaming.

Guillemot also highlighted the nearing completion of Paima’s integration with Cardano, complementing his focus on Ethereum-based platforms. The announcement addressed the limitations of current layer-1 blockchains, which hold 80% of the crypto market’s liquidity but struggle to scale the playability of Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) games.

Guillemot’s proposed solution involves leveraging zero-knowledge cryptography to improve scalability. As the community awaits the implementation of these new ideas in MMOs, Cardano (ADA) has seen a significant growth of over 120% in the past year, despite still being 80% below its all-time high from September 2021, according to 21milyon.com data.

Arbitrum (ARB) and Mina Protocol (MINA) also experienced notable price movements before today’s downturn. Arbitrum’s price was at $1.3, down from its all-time high of $8.67 nine months ago, while Mina’s price approached $1.17, a 200% increase from its all-time low in October 2023.

Additionally, the Mina Foundation, responsible for the MINA protocol, drew attention last week when it appointed Kurt Hemecker, the former Operations Director, as the new CEO, succeeding co-founder and former CEO Evan Shapiro.
