What Changes Will the Ginger Update Bring?

The Ginger update will notably increase data accessibility within the network, allowing users and developers to execute transactions with greater agility. Additionally, the update introduces a transaction size limit of 2 MiB, alongside specific limits on PayForBlobs (PFB) and non-PFB messages within each block.

How Will Technical Capabilities Improve?

This update will also implement default BBR (Bottleneck Bandwidth and Round-trip propagation time) congestion control, enhancing efficiency for large data transfers across peer-to-peer networks. The transaction validation process will also see improvements, bolstering the network’s overall capacity for handling transactions.

  • The Ginger update will cut block times, doubling transaction speeds.
  • New limits on message types aim to enhance data processing efficiency.
  • Technical upgrades are expected to boost the TIA price significantly.

The Ginger update stands as a critical milestone for Celestia, aligning with its mission to optimize network performance and attract a wider user base. With the enhanced technical framework, it aims to broaden its appeal among developers and existing users alike, setting the stage for future growth.
