Blockchain security company CertiK has issued an urgent warning to users of the popular cryptocurrency exchange OKX through social media platform X. They have advised users to immediately update to the latest iOS version to protect sensitive data and crypto assets that may be at risk.

On December 19th, CertiK made a significant announcement, urging users to swiftly update their iOS applications. The team disclosed a security vulnerability that potentially endangers both personal data and cryptocurrency holdings of OKX users.

CertiK’s team identified a Remote Code Execution (RCE) security flaw and alerted the OKX team about the issue. They shared this critical information with their followers, highlighting the potential threat to users’ assets.

According to CertiK, OKX responded promptly to the warning and released an updated version of their platform for users. This quick action was aimed at mitigating the risk posed by the security vulnerability.

The warning by CertiK underscores the importance of maintaining up-to-date security measures in the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency landscape, where users’ assets can be vulnerable to new threats.
