A notable trend is emerging among publicly traded companies as they increasingly accumulate Bitcoin (BTC) for financial strategies. The approval of Bitcoin Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) has significantly bolstered the credibility of cryptocurrencies within the United States, prompting a growing number of companies to integrate Bitcoin into their asset portfolios. Recently, another company announced its BTC acquisition, bringing the total count of companies participating in this trend to over 46.

Which Companies Are Investing in Bitcoin?

Countries like the United States and China are amassing substantial Bitcoin reserves. The U.S. government aims for a target reserve of 1 million BTC, which could be established through legislative measures, despite opposition from key officials. While recent dips in Bitcoin’s value have caused market fluctuations, institutional interest remains robust. A recent filing by KULR Technology Group revealed a purchase of 217.8 BTC for approximately $21 million.

Collectively, governments own 529,558 BTC, amounting to $50.8 billion—only 2.52% of the total Bitcoin supply. The U.S. has yet to reach its goal of a 1 million BTC reserve, which would represent about 5% of all BTC.
