Donald Trump Holds Significant Crypto Assets

Donald Trump, along with other high-profile individuals like Jimmy Fallon and Justin Bieber, owns nearly $10 million in various cryptocurrencies. The surge in the cryptocurrency sector’s growth in recent years has drawn numerous notable figures into the digital asset space, with Trump being a prominent example.

Trump’s Crypto Involvement: How Did It Start?

According to data from the blockchain analysis platform Arkham Intelligence, the former U.S. president boasts over $7 million in crypto holdings. More than 65% of his portfolio is invested in the memecoin project MAGA (TRUMP). The token’s value spiked earlier this month following reports that Trump was leading in multiple swing states against Joe Biden in the upcoming elections. Besides MAGA, Trump’s portfolio includes Ethereum, USDC, and Pepe, among others.

Interestingly, many of Trump’s assets might have been gifted by individuals within the crypto sector. Previously a fierce critic of Bitcoin during his presidency, Trump has recently softened his stance, even accepting crypto donations for his presidential campaign, thus appealing to the crypto community.

Who Else in the Spotlight Owns Crypto?

Other celebrities with crypto investments include Justin Bieber and Neymar Jr. Bieber’s holdings exceed $560,000, with Ethereum accounting for about 10%. Neymar Jr., the Brazilian soccer star, holds over $66,000 in crypto assets, mainly in Ethereum (ETH) and ApeCoin (APE), which make up approximately 85% of his portfolio.

Additionally, American TV host Jimmy Fallon and actor Kevin Hart are notable crypto holders. Fallon has nearly $140,000, while Hart possesses around $50,000 worth of digital assets.

Several of these individuals have ventured into the NFT market as well. Notably, Justin Bieber purchased an NFT from the BAYC collection for 500 Ethereum (worth $1.3 million at the time) in January 2022, now valued at around $45,000—a staggering 96% drop.
