Recent data indicates an unexpected shift in ETF investments traded in the U.S., with HYPE ETFs attracting significantly more capital than their XRP counterparts. A daily net inflow of $24.42 million was recorded for HYPE ETFs, surpassing the $18.47 million garnered by XRP, marking a 32% higher inflow for HYPE on that day.
How Does Market Cap Compare?
Despite HYPE’s market capitalization being just $18.52 billion compared to XRP’s considerable $89.19 billion, HYPE ETFs managed to secure more new investment compared to the XRP ETFs. With only three HYPE ETFs listed against five for XRP, this trend is noteworthy, raising questions about shifting investor sentiments.
HYPE products reported a daily net inflow of $24.42 million, while XRP ETFs secured $18.47 million within the same period.
Such investment behavior might suggest a pivot within the cryptocurrency market where investors are looking toward assets that promise greater volatility post a broader market recovery. Hyperliquid, recognized for its decentralized derivative trading infrastructure, appears to be gaining traction among market participants.
Does Price Action Reflect Market Trends?
Indeed, HYPE’s price movement mirrors growing investor interest. After breaking from $57 at the start of the month to achieve $86, its price settled at $83.20 whilst surpassing previous peaks and staying above major moving averages. However, technical indicators, including the RSI reaching around 74, signal potential overbought conditions with short-term averages pegged at $69.30.
Conversely, XRP displayed a different pattern. Following a rise from around $1.00 to approximately $1.70, the asset faces resistance, currently trading at about $1.42. Despite holding above its long-term moving average of $1.35, its short-term momentum appears waning.
- XRP ETFs attracted $141.61 million over 30 days, while cumulative inflows hit $1.64 billion.
- HYPE ETFs had $51.24 million in 30-day inflows, with cumulative figures at $343.48 million.
While XRP maintains a stronger institutional demand overall, HYPE’s surge in single-day inflows hints at investors showing interest beyond traditional large-scale crypto assets, toward smaller, volatile markets. This trend suggests the allure of diversified investment opportunities amidst evolving market conditions.
