Bitcoin‘s price fluctuations continue, and despite the positive inflation data over the past two days, Fed concerns still dominate the market. However, this situation does not prevent altcoins from announcing significant news. Crypto currency projects have been launching new positive news for weeks to keep their communities alive and boost their prices.
The World ID protocol, introduced to the public four months ago, has been updated to World ID 2.0. While an increase in demand for identity services is expected in the future, the Worldcoin team is facing challenges with biometric data collection in many jurisdictions.
The venture founded by Sam Altman announced its support for World ID integrations with Minecraft, Reddit, Telegram, Shopify, and Mercado Libre. Currently, World ID 2.0 supports integrations with Discord, Talent Protocol, and Okta’s Auth0.
Worldcoin’s product manager Tiago Sada stated that they have made it much easier for developers to create integrations.
With this support, World ID users can be identified on the relevant platforms. For example, Reddit moderators can provide access to different features knowing that users with these identities are real people.
Currently, there are 5 million World ID users worldwide, and approximately 2.6 million people have scanned their irises with the Orb hardware to verify their identities. According to official data, 100,000 new users were reached last week.
