Trac (TRAC) aims to facilitate the tracking of Ordinals protocols in a completely decentralized manner. Since current trackers are largely centralized, this is contrary to the decentralized nature of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC). Trac addresses this issue by providing a decentralized network that allows everyone to participate in the monitoring process, use it, and earn income from their contributions.
Trac is a community-supported project that aims to revolutionize our interaction with Ordinals protocols, especially with BRC-20 tokens. It is an infrastructure project designed to track protocols such as BRC-20 tokens and domains with the .sats extension, offering a decentralized system for accessing these protocols.
Trac undertakes one of the most critical tasks to free the world of Ordinals from the pressure of centralized trackers that control BRC-20 protocols. It paves the way for an era where users will have full control.
At the core of the project is a reliable, decentralized Software Development Kit (SDK) and the robust GUN protocol, which form the backbone of the network. Similar to BTC’s network structure, the GUN protocol reflects the fundamental principles of focusing on encryption, speed, and reliability to provide an effective system.
Initially, Trac focused on tracking BRC-20 protocols. While the infrastructure project continues to monitor BRC-20 treasuries, minted tokens, amounts, and other critical data, developers have begun to expand the use cases of Trac.
