In the lawsuit, TransparentBusiness seeks a legal declaration that the UNICOIN brand does not infringe on Uniswap’s claimed trademarks, including UNI, UNISWAP, and UNICHAIN.

TransparentBusiness aims to void the U.S. trademark registration of the name UNI. The company alleges that Uniswap has repeatedly warned them with claims of trademark infringement, dilution, domain name violations, and unfair competition.
Documents reveal that Uniswap’s legal representatives dispatched three cease-and-desist letters on June 3, July 17, and August 14. These letters demanded that Unicoin cease using any brands containing UNICOIN and UNI, relinquish the unicoin.com and unicoin.org domains, provide financial statements, and cover legal expenses.
