Shytoshi Kusama, the enigmatic figurehead of the Shiba Inu cryptocurrency, has called upon the SHIB army for support. Kusama’s appeal centers around the Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) token, which stands a chance to be listed on the Binance Futures trading platform. Binance has recently introduced Binance Futures Next, a community-vote feature aimed at determining which tokens users want to trade on their futures market. BONE is currently in the race for listing, vying for votes against other contenders.
Community Voting Pushes BONE Token Upwards
Competing in the newly launched Binance Futures Next initiative, BONE has garnered a significant number of votes but still trails behind the leader BabyDoge. Kusama has reached out to the SHIB community, urging members to vote for BONE, especially because not all global users are able to participate in Binance voting. This push comes as BONE experienced a notable 23% price increase following the news of a possible Binance listing.
Strategic Movements by a Prominent SHIB Whale
In a separate development, analytics from Spotonchain revealed that a whale, who holds over 1.24 trillion SHIB coins, has moved a significant amount of the meme coin FLOKI to the Gate.io exchange. This has sparked speculation about potential sales that could net the whale a substantial profit. This whale also possesses 11.4 million BIGTIME tokens, contributing to an unrealized profit margin in fiat currency that impressively stands at $34.5 million.
Overall, Shiba Inu has witnessed a significant surge this week, climbing approximately 48% in value. At present, the price of SHIB has settled slightly but still reflects a recent upward trend.
