Shiba Inu’s Struggles: Is the Recovery Losing Steam?

Shiba Inu (SHIB) faces challenges in maintaining its recent recovery trend as exchange data reveals a weakening outlook. The cryptocurrency’s seven-day average exchange outflow has decreased notably, ranging from 42% to 48%, which was once a key indicator of its bullish turn. This decline has raised caution within the market, with the SHIB’s price highly sensitive to these developments.

How are Exchange Flows Reflecting on SHIB?

Recent trends indicate a complex pattern in exchange flows. The amount of tokens exiting centralized platforms serves as an important measure, typically suggesting market supply is being withdrawn when outflows are substantial. However, the current downward shift highlights a stark reduction in this effect compared to previous periods.

Overall data presents a mixed scenario. SHIB’s average inflows saw a slight rise of 0.79% while total inflows climbed by 0.56%, and total outflows increased by 0.59%. Despite this, net flow remains at approximately negative 62.5 billion SHIB. This ongoing net outflow indicates the exit trend is far from eradicated but has decelerated noticeably.

“The sustained negative net flow of about 62.5 billion SHIB suggests the outflow trend continues, though the sharp decline in average seven-day outflows indicates this support isn’t as robust as before.”

Given the deceleration of outflows, there is insufficient evidence to claim that large SHIB transfers are making their way back to exchanges en masse. It rather signifies a slowdown in the rate of token removal from the market. As a meme coin birthed on the Ethereum network with a vast investor base, Shiba Inu is perceptibly affected by shifts in on-chain flows.

What Price Levels are Crucial for SHIB?

Following a strong recovery from around $0.0000042, SHIB has been trading near $0.00000535. Although it briefly exceeded $0.0000060, selling pressure caused a pullback. The significant technical resistance is marked by the long-term moving average at $0.00000573.

Previously, the price tested this area but couldn’t sustain above it. Despite this, SHIB hovers over short-term averages located around $0.00000466 and $0.00000496. Meanwhile, the RSI, after reaching an overbought state, has retreated to approximately 60, signaling a tempering of immediate momentum.

Has the Recovery Scenario Deteriorated?

Despite the constraints, the possibility of an upward reversal hasn’t fully collapsed. The technical structure remains somewhat intact, albeit less vigorously than before. A strong breakout above $0.00000573 would solidify the recovery scenario, potentially pushing targets to the $0.0000060-$0.0000063 range.

“A determined move above $0.00000573 could bolster recovery prospects; conversely, losing the $0.0000049-$0.0000050 range could signify a failed attempt.”

Conversely, dropping below the $0.0000049-$0.0000050 range could provide clearer evidence of the recent breakout weakening. This scenario may increase the likelihood of SHIB retesting lower support zones.

  • The net flow remains negative at approximately -62.5 billion SHIB, indicating ongoing outflow trends.
  • A breakout above $0.00000573 is critical and could re-ignite the recovery push towards higher price targets.
  • Failure to maintain the $0.0000049-$0.0000050 range may reverse gains, inviting further declines.

Shiba Inu’s recent struggles do not rule out a renewed upward trajectory, but it underscores the need for moves beyond key resistance levels. The market remains cautious as traders await definitive signals to confirm a sustained recovery.
