Cryptocurrency enthusiasts are not only interested in price movements but also in technological advancements within the networks. Recent developments like Solana‘s Saga and the BONK airdrop have significantly captured investor attention. Now, Solana is in the spotlight again with the announcement of Solana Mobile 2, following the Saga’s success.
Solana Mobile 2 has received 30,000 pre-orders within 30 hours of its announcement, indicating a strong market interest and suggesting it may follow in Saga’s successful footsteps. The association with the BONK airdrop, initially linked with Saga, could have contributed to the heightened attention.
The pre-orders for Solana Mobile 2 have already surpassed the total sales of its predecessor, Saga, highlighting the market’s significant interest in the new smartphone’s web3-focused features.
Distinguishing itself from Saga, Solana Mobile 2 is priced at $450, offering a more affordable alternative to the $599 Saga, thus supporting a competitive pricing environment.
Despite Solana’s playful boasts about Mobile 2’s pre-order achievements compared to Apple Vision Pro, it’s revealed that Apple Vision Pro’s pre-orders have not yet started, and they are set to begin today, January 19th. Anatoly Yakovenko, a founder of Solana, humorously confirmed this situation.
