The digital asset SUI, which recently experienced peaks near $1.25, is currently constrained within a narrow trading range. Maintaining prices between $1.15 and $1.18 is crucial for sustaining an upward momentum, although selling pressure continues to exert influence in the upper tiers.
Short-Term Resistance Between $1.20 and $1.35
Recovering from approximately $0.64 earlier this year, SUI has edged back towards the $1.20 to $1.25 range. Analyses posted on TradingView highlight that upward movements in this range have been limited on several occasions. Notably, analyst Donatelio identifies $1.139 as immediate support, while highlighting the $1.192 to $1.205 range as the first substantial resistance zone.
“Analysts suggest that achieving stability above $1.205 could bring $1.27 and $1.309 into consideration once again.”
Conversely, if the price dips below $1.139 without significant recovery, attention may pivot back to the $1.05 to $1.09 bandwidth. This scenario implies ongoing fluctuations within the established range, rather than a decisive directional signal in the near term.
Key Breakthrough Level at $1.35
A separate TradingView analysis suggests a more constructive outlook in the four-hour chart. Here, buyers have defended the $1.10 to $1.15 region amid recent pullbacks, keeping the price from entirely retracing its previous ascent in the $1.20 to $1.25 area. Some analysts believe this pattern indicates that the bullish trend remains intact.
“A sustained close above the $1.30 to $1.35 zone followed by successful retesting serves as a stronger technical confirmation.”
In such a scenario, levels like $1.50 and $1.65 may emerge as subsequent technical reference points. However, losing the $1.15 level could weaken the structure, and a noticeable move below $1.05 might refocus attention on the $0.94 range.
Long-Term Trendline Remains a Challenge
Over extended timeframes, the picture appears more complex. Analysis from CryptoNuclear reveals SUI approaching a long-term declining trendline originating around $4.40. Hence, while a potential breakout above $1.35 may be significant short-term, it may not fully dispel the broader persisting downtrend.
This analysis points to $1.332 as an initial resistance area, with $1.49, $1.65, $1.895, $2.165, and $2.62 acting as further monitorable zones, rather than definitive targets. Analysts emphasize the need for scrutiny rather than expectation at these levels.
Indicators Send Mixed Signals
Short-term technical indicators show a mixed outlook. The 14-period Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 43, remaining below the neutral 50 threshold. The Stochastic Oscillator hovers near 25, while the MACD indicator is marginally negative. However, the Stochastic RSI approaches an oversold status, suggesting potential buying interest might emerge.
Discrepancies are evident among moving averages as well. SUI’s trading beneath the short-term 10, 20, and 50 period averages contrasts with a more favorable position provided by the 100 and 200 period averages. Such divergence elucidates why the $1.15 to $1.20 range represents a crucial sensitivity zone for market observers.
