Entities involved in Spot Bitcoin ETFs include a broad spectrum of stakeholders, ranging from nations and publicly traded companies to mining operations. It is estimated that around 14% of the total Bitcoin supply is held by decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms, while the remainder is distributed among different investors.

How Much Bitcoin Do Countries Hold?

Governments have acquired a total of 529,558 BTC, valued at approximately $53.6 billion, through both seizure of illicit funds and intentional purchases. The U.S. leads with 207,189 BTC, followed by China with 194,000 BTC, and the UK with 61,000 BTC, among others.
