Recent activity in the XRP Ledger has seen a significant uptick in the opening of new accounts. According to XRPScan data, on November 1, 2026, the number of newly activated accounts reached 7,734. This marks a 33% rise compared to the previous day and far exceeds the network’s 30-day average of approximately 3,500 new accounts per day.
Interest in XRP Ecosystem Reignites
This daily surge may indicate a renewed interest in the XRP Ledger ecosystem. Known for its open-source blockchain network linked to Ripple and its focus on payments, the ledger has seen an acceleration in wallet setups. However, pinpointing a single reason for this movement is challenging at this stage.
Possible drivers behind this increase include growing interest in tokenized assets, the expansion of stablecoin usage, and a shift towards decentralized finance applications. Additionally, user acquisition processes by exchanges or automated wallet creation systems may have contributed to the increase in total numbers.
XRPScan data reveals 7,734 new accounts were activated on November 1, 2026, highlighting a robust daily increase and a significant surpassing of the 30-day average.
New Accounts Don’t Equate to User Base Growth
Despite the rise in new account numbers, it doesn’t necessarily imply an equivalent growth in the user base. An individual can open multiple accounts, and automated systems can generate numerous wallets. Therefore, to gauge true adoption, monitoring active addresses, transaction volumes, and overall ecosystem usage is essential.
Historical data indicates similar spikes have occurred previously. XRPScan records show the all-time highest daily account openings at approximately 30,600. While the recent increase is significant, it remains well below this historical peak.
Price Dynamics Tell a Different Story
Despite the uptick in network activity, the price of XRP has not rebounded similarly. As of November 2, TradingView data shows XRP trading around $1.25. The prolonged correction following the peaks in September and October appears unresolved.
The price’s position below critical moving averages suggests ongoing selling pressure in the technical outlook. In the short term, the $1.20 to $1.25 range is closely monitored, while recovery attempts could be capped between $1.30 and $1.35.
The increase in new account openings underscores that blockchain network activity and market demand are distinct phenomena.
While the current situation shows heightened network activity, it’s unclear whether this will translate into lasting demand for XRP. For stronger adoption signals, sustained increases in active addresses, transaction volumes, and overall ecosystem utilization will be closely watched.
