The XRP Ledger witnessed a significant uptick in activity with the number of active accounts sharply rising by the end of October. According to data from XRPScan, the network recorded 30,604 active accounts on October 26, 2026. This marked a substantial increase over the 30-day average of 18,600, indicating a revival in user engagement despite the continuation of weak price trends for XRP.
Remarkable Increase in Network Activity
The latest figures indicate an approximate 65% rise above the monthly average. During recent quieter periods, the daily count of active accounts generally floated between 15,000 and 16,000. Thus, the current levels are nearly double the recent baseline. The metric traces unique active addresses that send transactions on the XRP Ledger, and a further 6% spike in the past 24 hours points to sustained momentum, not just a one-off spike.
Data from XRPScan reveals that on October 26, 2026, there were 30,604 active accounts on the XRP Ledger, significantly surpassing the monthly average of 18,600.
Shifts in Annual Trends
The annual chart outlines fluctuations in the count of active accounts, generally ranging between 13,000 and 20,000 since the start of 2026. Occasional surges above the 30,000 mark have been observed. After a calmer stretch from June to August, a recovery began in September, gaining momentum towards the end of October.
An increase in active accounts suggests broader adoption of blockchain, heightened transaction activity, or the return of previous users. However, this alone doesn’t confirm sustained adoption. The long-term intentions behind this activity—whether transient surges or enduring use—remain to be seen.
Persistent Price Pressures
Data from TradingView shows XRP trading around $1.29 on the daily chart. The asset has retracted from peaks between $1.55 and $1.60 witnessed during September and October. Remaining below various moving averages suggests continued short-term selling pressure.
XRP also exhibits a sideways pattern near the $1.30 mark, as buyers seek to stabilize prices following weeks of decline. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) lingers in the lower half of its range, indicating that buying appetite hasn’t yet prompted a robust recovery.
While network revitalization and price performance continue to diverge, for a rebound to become sustainable, ongoing blockchain usage and supportive market conditions are essential.
The latest surge in network participation stands out as a key development among foundational metrics being monitored for XRP. Whether this uptick can bolster prices will depend on maintaining network activity and the broader trajectory of the cryptocurrency market in coming days.
