South Korean social media figure, YoungHoon Kim, who claims to possess the world’s highest IQ of 276, has recently captured public interest with his bold predictions concerning the future of cryptocurrency, particularly XRP. Kim, highly active on the platform X (previously known as Twitter), regularly engages his vast audience by discussing various movements in the digital asset market, with a keen focus on Bitcoin and XRP.
Can XRP Skyrocket to Unimaginable Heights?
In his latest assertions, Kim has not only maintained his staunch advocacy for XRP but has also positioned himself as a central figure, claiming the title “Son of XRP.” His audacious forecast claims that XRP prices will soar to $100, an expectation he insists is unstoppable.
Kim’s price predictions for XRP aren’t new, as he previously suggested the token would achieve a $100 value within five years. Considering the current price hovers around $1.32, such a rise would necessitate an unprecedented 7,000% increase.
Is an Altcoin Boom On the Horizon?
Kim’s latest market analysis also points to a forthcoming “altseason,” suggesting an imminent growth period for alternative cryptocurrencies. Moreover, he controversially described Bitcoin as “essentially a meme coin,” hinting that meme-themed tokens could outperform more traditional crypto assets soon.

XRP, otherwise referred to as Ripple, is renowned for its widespread application in cross-border payments, offering rapid settlement times and lower transaction fees compared to numerous other blockchain technologies.
Doubts over Kim’s previous forecasts have emerged, notably after he speculated a rapid surge in Bitcoin’s value to $100,000 within two days—a prediction that did not transpire as anticipated. Later deductions for Bitcoin and XRP reaching new highs by 2025 and 2026 have also been reassessed as improbable by a growing number of his followers.
Questions over Kim’s claimed IQ have surfaced, casting shadows over his credibility. Recent inquiries by VICE and commentary from experts like Mensa’s Chris Leek and Australian psychometrician Jason Betts, suggest the purported IQ score is significantly inflated. This ongoing skeptic inquiry continues to challenge the foundations of Kim’s high IQ assertions.
Despite this, Kim has not deterred his supporters. Advocates, including participants from the GIGA Society, argue that a unique standard deviation could justify his IQ score.
