The XRP Ledger network is nearing a significant milestone in daily transactions as it records an impressive spike in activity. According to data from XRPSCAN, the network processed a total of 879,868 payments on September 1. This surge in transactions pushed the network close to reaching the 890,000 mark, signaling the potential for the network to soon test the 1 million daily payment threshold.
Remarkable Growth in Daily Transactions
The latest figures significantly exceed the 30-day average for XRP Ledger. With an average of approximately 686,800 daily payments over the past month, the recent uptick represents a 33.6% increase from the previous day. This indicates a rapid acceleration in network activity, surpassing typical fluctuations.
Currently, the network processes roughly 193,000 more payments daily than its 30-day average. An additional 13.7% rise from the September 1 figure would see daily payments surpass the one million mark. While this level may not be an all-time high, it represents a psychologically important benchmark for the market.
XRP Ledger surged to 879,868 daily payments, approaching the significant 1 million mark while clearly outperforming its recent average.
XRPSCAN is a blockchain tracking platform that monitors transactions and network data on the XRP Ledger. The annual outlook shows that network activity reached much higher levels in the first part of the year.
Flashpoints and Summer Lull?
Indeed, daily payments surpassed 1.5 million several times between February and May, with one remarkable spike exceeding 2 million. XRPSCAN data reveals the record high is around 6 million payments per day. So, although a million payments don’t set a new record, it is a noteworthy rebound given the weaker network conditions observed in June and July.
Price Vs. Network Dynamics?
Despite the network’s resurgence, the financial side presents a cautious picture. During a strong breakout in August, XRP briefly surpassed $1.50. However, it later fell back to around $1.32, dropping below the 200-day exponential moving average of $1.35.
Nonetheless, the broader outlook remains intact. XRP continues to hold above the 50-day exponential moving average of approximately $1.28 and the 100-day exponential moving average of $1.22. This suggests that despite short-term pressures, the larger recovery framework remains largely undisturbed.
As network transactions rise while prices pull back in the short term, the decoupling within the XRP market stands out as a key divergence to watch.
- There is potential for XRP to stabilize around the $1.27 to $1.28 range and retest $1.35.
- If prices dip further, the $1.21 to $1.22 band becomes relevant.
- The rebound in payment volumes offers a more optimistic signal regarding core indicators.
Should XRP manage to hold within the specified price range, it may regain equilibrium and challenge the $1.35 threshold again. Despite the short-term price movements, the significant uptick in transaction activity represents a positive indicator for the network’s underlying health.
