Pyth Network has unveiled its latest update, the Pyth Pro MCP Server 1.1, greatly enhancing the ease with which artificial intelligence assistants can access both real-time and historical market data. This advancement allows AI-driven research processes to seamlessly incorporate price movements following significant market events, leading to a substantial 20% rise in the value of Pyth tokens today.
Enhanced Market Insight for AI Agents
The update simplifies the discovery of data sources and the selection of accessible data for users, facilitating a deeper analysis of market dynamics across different asset classes. AI assistants will now be able to integrate structured market data into their research activity, broadening the scope and sophistication of their analyses.
A notable feature of the new version is that it allows users to access all price updates within a 60-second interval. This tool aids AI agents in observing price fluctuations around various triggers, such as corporate earnings, liquidations, or monetary policy decisions. The analysis transcends mere comparisons of pre- and post-event prices, offering a richer tapestry of insights into market behavior.
The update also provides access to funding rates, exponential moving average prices, market session information, interest rates, and net asset value data. The 50-millisecond update intervals enable the monitoring of short-term market movements with high time resolution.
Users can streamline access by adding their credentials to client settings just once, rather than for each request. The system also clarifies which data feeds are available within the scope of a user’s subscription and allows for queries using common pair names like BTC/USD. Unavailable data is accompanied by reasons such as invalid keys, lack of authorization, or inactive data streams.
Exploring Collaborative Research with Exa
Pyth is exploring the integration of financial research with market data through a collaboration with Exa, an AI-driven search and research infrastructure provider. In this approach, Exa locates a company’s earnings reports, related documents, and news, while Pyth supplies the necessary data to analyze price movement post-announcement.
For instance, after an AI agent investigates the latest corporate earnings report, it can immediately analyze the stock’s performance over the next five trading sessions within the same response. Pyth acknowledges that these initiatives are still at an early stage.
The company notes the anticipated increase in the use of financial data by automated systems. According to forecasts from BCG and Ripple, the tokenized asset market, currently valued at approximately $600 billion, is expected to skyrocket to around $19 trillion by 2033. Moreover, the AI agents’ market is projected to grow from $5.2 billion in 2024 to approximately $197 billion by 2034.
With its latest update, Pyth aims to position AI agents as pivotal tools not only in researching news but also in directly correlating developments to market implications through data-driven insights.
