At a recent presentation attended by roughly 400 wealth managers, XRP emerged as the cryptocurrency of greatest interest. Ryan Rasmussen, a research analyst at Bitwise, revealed that although topics like Bitcoin, Solana, Hyperliquid, stablecoins, and tokenization were covered, XRP dominated the discussions.
Why Did XRP Capture Attention?
In a joint presentation with Bitwise’s investment director Matt Hougan, Rasmussen highlighted that attendees asked for detailed information about XRP. This heightened interest indicates that institutional curiosity about the token isn’t limited simply to investment products but extends to professional portfolio managers who are increasingly monitoring the crypto space.
XRP, sunum boyunca en çok soru gelen kripto para oldu. İlginin belirgin biçimde yüksek seyrettiği görüldü.
Bitwise, renowned for its crypto asset management, offers institutional investors exposure to cryptocurrencies, especially through exchange-traded funds and index products. This reinforces the growing importance of XRP in asset management strategies.
Are XRP ETFs Still Attracting Funds?
Not entirely. Spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) traded in the U.S. saw continuous net inflows for 11 consecutive trading days until recently. Data from SoSoValue reveals nearly $170 million entered these funds during this period. Since its launch in November, the total net inflow has reached $1.68 billion.
However, this streak ceased on September 2nd, when U.S. spot XRP ETFs faced a $7.2 million net outflow. On the same day, spot Bitcoin ETFs and spot Ether ETFs also experienced outflows of $14.3 million and $47.6 million, respectively.
Which Major Institutions Are Involved?
Recent official disclosures further underscore institutional interest. According to Bloomberg Intelligence, by the end of the second quarter, the largest declared institutional XRP position belonged to Goldman Sachs, totaling $87.4 million. Jane Street and Millennium Management followed with positions of $16.6 million and $16.2 million, respectively.
Son dönemde açıklanan pozisyonlar ve fon akışları, XRP tarafında kalıcı bir profesyonel ilginin oluştuğuna işaret ediyor.
Goldman Sachs stands as one of the largest global investment banks, with Jane Street and Millennium Management recognized for their high-volume trades in institutional markets. These entities provide liquidity and actively engage in the crypto sector.
Despite these trends, a significant portion of wealth managers remains cautious. According to Rasmussen, 67% of the audience at the presentation have yet to allocate resources towards cryptocurrencies. Nevertheless, expectations remain optimistic, with 60% anticipating higher crypto prices by year-end and a similar percentage planning to allocate assets to this class within 12 months.
- XRP garnered the most questions, signifying a unique level of interest among wealth managers.
- Institutional participation is evidenced by large investments from firms like Goldman Sachs.
- Despite a pause in ETF net inflows, anticipation for XRP’s future remains high.
- Many wealth managers have not yet ventured into crypto, though plans to do so are on the rise.
XRP’s rising prominence in wealth management contexts illustrates a broader trend where professional interest in cryptocurrencies is strengthening, although a cautious approach prevails. This blend of interest and skepticism characterizes the evolving landscape of digital asset investment strategies.
