Transaction activity on the Solana network has shown remarkable acceleration in the third quarter of 2026, with the blockchain processing an impressive 8.92 billion non-voting transactions, according to data shared by Solana’s official account. This marks a significant 104% increase from the 4.38 billion transactions recorded in the final quarter of 2025.
Rebounding After Previous Quarter Declines
The data reveals that in the first quarter of 2026, the non-voting transactions reached 7.54 billion, slightly dropping to 7.19 billion in the second quarter. The latest quarter’s surge to 8.92 billion transactions represents an approximately 24% rise from the preceding quarter, indicating a resurgence in network activity following a previous decline.
Solana, recognized for its high transaction throughput and cost-efficiency, operates as a leading layer-1 blockchain network. Non-voting transactions, which exclude routine validator votes for consensus, are closely monitored to gauge real network usage trends.
“Solana’s network processed 8.92 billion non-voting transactions in Q3 2026,” announced Solana’s official account.
Non-Voting Transactions Reflect True Network Usage
These non-voting transactions encompass a wide range of activities, including token transfers, decentralized application interactions, trading activities, and other on-chain user movements. As such, they serve as a fundamental indicator of the network’s actual utilization and intensity.
According to Solana Compass data, the non-voting transactions completed in September alone amounted to around 3.18 billion, marking the third consecutive monthly record.
Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko responded to this milestone via X, urging, “Put cryptography inside the computer.”
Transaction Growth May Not Mirror User Expansion
However, the increase in transaction numbers does not necessarily equate to a proportional rise in individual user count. Much of the on-chain activity may be driven by automated trading bots, meaning total transaction numbers may not fully reflect the actual user base.
Nonetheless, the latest figures highlight sustained demand for Solana’s infrastructure, with significant activity seen in application usage, asset transfers, and trading dynamics.
As of October 19, SOL‘s price was approximately $104, with the asset’s market capitalization estimated at $61 billion.
