Despite the recent pause in XRP‘s price rally, data reveals strong capital inflows into Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) associated with the cryptocurrency. The trend highlights a notable shift in investor sentiment, as funds that were weak in recent weeks have begun to display renewed vitality and attract fresh capital back to XRP-focused products.
How are Fund Flows Rebounding?
According to SosoValue, the daily capital influx into XRP ETFs has surged significantly. While these net inflows stood at zero on August 14, they surpassed $28 million by August 26. This swift recovery over the span of two weeks indicates a rapid intensification in demand for these funds.
Over the past week alone, XRP funds registered a net influx of $110.49 million, the highest weekly figure reported this year. This resurgence has returned investor interest to levels reminiscent of the period when these funds were first launched late last year.
XRP funds experienced a net inflow of $110.49 million over the past week, marking the strongest weekly performance of the year.
ETFs are investment vehicles that track the price of an asset without direct ownership and are traded on exchanges. XRP ETFs therefore provide investors with indirect access to the asset.
Why Has XRP Price Momentum Weakened?
Despite revitalized fund flows, XRP’s price recently lost momentum in the short term, dipping by about 1% in 24 hours to $1.37. This decline from last week’s high of $1.60 shows that price movements have not kept pace with ETF inflows.
After significant fluctuations and cautiousness from investors in prior months, the recent price breakdown triggered a marked recovery in the ETF market. However, the spot price’s return to negative territory suggests that cautious sentiment remains in the short term.
Is Institutional Interest Rising Again?
The strong fund inflows observed last week underline a resurgence in institutional interest. The new capital directed to these funds denotes that the demand for XRP-linked investment products might signify more than just a temporary response, hinting at a broader recovery.
The prevailing market expectation is that sustained momentum on the ETF front could again bolster XRP price increases.
Yet, the divergence between price and fund flows remains a point of interest. While the ETF market continues to thrive, XRP’s weaker short-term performance may prompt investors to closely monitor net inflows and the asset’s potential to inch back toward the $1.60 mark in the upcoming days.
