AIxCrypto Holdings, a prominent American tech company, has announced its decision to completely liquidate its digital asset portfolio, effectively ending its cryptocurrency treasury strategy. This notable move was disclosed in an amendment to the S-1 form submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on September 4, 2026.
What Assets Were Offloaded?
The announcement detailed the sale of significant portions of their digital assets, including 33.49 Bitcoin, 497.56 Ethereum, and 6,325.92 Solana as of August 31. Additionally, smaller positions in assets such as Chainlink, Binance Coin, and Cardano were also sold. The company reported approximately a 50% unrealized loss on this portfolio, signaling a strategic pivot away from these holdings.
Within regulatory filings, the company’s XRP holdings were deemed negligible. This indicates that the losses were primarily influenced by declines in major cryptocurrencies with large market capitalizations, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.
AIxCrypto Holdings has initiated the process to completely liquidate its digital asset portfolio, marking the end of its crypto treasury initiative.
Historically rooted in the pharmaceutical sector, AIxCrypto Holdings plans to restructure its business model following the sale of the devalued assets. The company aims to fully transition into the robotics market through its RoboShare platform, which emerges as the new focal point for growth in the robotics industry.
Have Similar Moves Occurred in Other Companies?
This development is not isolated as other small-cap publicly traded companies have similarly liquidated altcoin losses to maintain their core operations. Japanese firm Remixpoint previously divested all altcoin holdings, including ETH, SOL, DOGE, and 1.19 million XRP, retaining only Bitcoin, using the proceeds to invest in energy storage systems. Such actions align more with balance sheet re-prioritization than market panic.
These sales instead reflect a strategic shift as companies facing operational pressures seek to mitigate losses while larger capital groups pursue digital assets through varied approaches.
Is Institutional Interest Shifting Elsewhere?
At the same time, Kinetics funds revealed a direct position in Ripple Labs’ Series A preferred shares in SEC filings, suggesting some institutional investors are opting for equity stakes in issuing companies rather than trading volatile tokens. Meanwhile, Evernorth, a treasury firm with an XRP focus, maintains around 473 million XRP on its balance sheet while preparing for a Nasdaq listing through a SPAC merger. Evernorth is one of the few institutional structures significantly built around XRP holdings.
This situation illustrates not a wholesale exit from digital assets but rather a more discerning utilization of capital. There is a clear distinction between small companies divesting to sustain operations and investors adopting targeted and institutional methods for positioning.
